Baroque DNA – Moissac
Bach, Haendel, Purcell, Rameau, Scarlatti, Vivaldi… in a way you never heard them.
For the first time, the countertenor Théophile ALEXANDRE and the pianist Guillaume VINCENT, accompanied by the soprani Chantal SANTON and Marion TASSOU, dare to undress the baroque in a voice-piano formation.
In this brand new contemporary reading, the artists play with the power of intimacy to reveal some incredible musical sides of baroque writing and unveil its visionary radiography of the human kind, this “irregular pearl” with its perfect imperfections.
In 21 works, like 21 grams of the soul’s weight , this journey in minor mode immerses us into our emotional DNA, exploring our feelings in chiaroscuro , this lights filtering through the interstices of our flaws signing the strength of our world’s weak.
A singular and touching musical, staged by Jean-Claude GALLOTTA, on a Pierre-André WEITZ scenography.
